single no more

to plan for a wedding takes a lot of your time.

to plan for living together is another.

a week before I got married, a friend of mine called me, sending her best wishes and regards.

She was hoping that it went well, and things are going to be great for me and ezri.

She was convinced that I could get through the wedding with no hiccups and smiling ear to ear, but she reminded me the life after that. Together. Where it could be a challenge.

It was the adjustment period  that matters.

True.

A few days after the wedding, I came back to the office. He went back to his hometown. I was left alone again.

But it doesn't matter.

That gives me the freedom to return from office at my usual late hours. yeah, however pathetic that may sound.

And miraculously, I seem to be enjoying my quiet time. This is after so many month planning, executing and figuring out what's best for the big day.. I have my 'me' time.

When I came home, I know we both still had a lot of work to do to make this pad a better place to stay.

I know, I will have to come out with different menus for dinner everyday, even though my culinary skills are strictly for baking and western delights.

I know when I watch the telly, I won't be alone again.

I know that every morning, the best thing to do is to woke up early and watch him continue sleeping, before waking him for Subuh.

That's ok.

That's fine enough for me, for now.

I need this new life.

let's paint the room green...

i remember our first date sounds like this;

let's paint the town red this weekend. ;-)

we were drawn to colours. yeah, every colour defines your mood at the moment.

similarly, we intended to play with colour again.

like changing the theme colour a week before the wedding; from lime green to charteuse green and yellow, or something like it.

and he choose winter green for the living room.

we've been looking forward to move in to our new house soon, and normally i would let him choose the colour himself, because he is doing the painting anyway.

this is the third time moving in and out i recall since 2005, and hopefully I stick to this place a wee bit longer..

fresh air

its has been little talk every where in the office.

next promotion end of this year.

is it true?

i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

the boss once told me, which ever the place here, if you're staying, will make you go places till u had enough of it.

thats could be both good and tiring.

but i'll just be thankful if I remain in my division, but hopefully, doing a new task.

and definitely, a challenging one.

it could be worse than now.

uh oh.

 well, life.

the bridal shower ...

this is aira's version.. i'm gonna come up with mine next. ;-)

What the Bridal Shower should've been if it went as planned:

1. We would've hired a male stripper if we didn't spend the whole day walking and shopping (since 430am)
2. We would party all nite and NOT fall flat on the bed at 930pm if we didn't spend the whole day walking and shopping (since 430am)

3. We would paint a Graffitti Wall on Orchard Road if we didn't spend the whole day walking and shopping (since 430am)
But i'm glad we did what we did. And we went home happy and sober :)

Some Bridal Shower it was.... :)

The very much anticipated 48 hours of party-ing turned out to be 48 hours of shopping and jay-walking instead :) Who says bachelorette parties are supposed to be a cliche' of truth or dare games and dressing the bride up in a bunny costume?

We wanted something more memorable than that. All those many years of hostel life in UIA dorms taught us that if you really want to celebrate, you have to go the extra mile. It takes more than just bunking into a room to celebrate.... We decided to go on a roadtrip to the country next door.

Orchard Road, Singapore is a girl's wonderland... especially for city-bees like us.
We love, we love, we love, we love being a girl.

the party ??

last time I was so crazy about partying, we had endless parties in the early 20's.

the birthday bash, convo bash, the holiday bash, and last minute crash to unexpected places.

we did mostly at home parties, and the pyjamas parties are usually fun.

this time, for  the singletons, we're planning the best location ever.

 Singapore!!!

See you girls soon!!
