job shift
Everybody is considering a job shift nowadays.
The girls are moving on, like Hariah quits her Brabus job and move into consultancy.
Some, were in the middle of finalizing their thesis for their MA degree.
Some of my good friends are getting themselves mentally prepared to work in a different continent, like Chennai and Cairo. Must be a lifetime rewarding experience to work somewhere foreign. I can't stand being away from the country too long.
Me? I just got promoted. And I'm staying. It is a hard thing to do, which I always asked myself, whether have I made the right choice of doing so.
I like the job. Just not totally in love with it. What made me stay is because I think I could learn more now as compared to the 41 post. Currently , there are only four 44 post in my division and none of us would dare to say that it is easy breezy job for us.
The PAC season is now. Most of the hopeful PTD candidates called and asked my opinion.
How does it feels to be a PTD?
If you're in because of the money, I suggest you better join MNC and GLC.
Money is not the perks of working in the government. And neither is power.
But what you give back to the society counts.
How about job transfer?
An interesting note from Tan Sri KPPA was, he said to give our best in order to provide an excellent deliver. In order to do so, we must always stay relevant to the current changes. A change is needed when you are no longer suitable (serasi) with your current job. But it has to be a worthy change.
I think for the time being, I'll just make sure I am relevant to the organization.

new assignment
Yesterday was interesting. It was hectic, but somehow satisfying.
The division is gaining its popularity through daily comments on local newspaper.I was assigned to do media monitoring. This job is fun. It is ,in the sense that I was used to it not so long ago when I had a short stint in a media monitoring agency.
Drafting a press release, is a tedious job. Before any information is about to be disseminated to the public, there are a lot things to be put into consideration. If Biro Pengaduan Awam standard operating procedure stated that you have to answer the complaint in three days, I've answered at least three queries everyday , but then again it was not like you can immediately respond direct to the person like sending an email or update your blog. These information should go through proper channels, checked and edited and agreed to be published.
In the public service, everybody was taught to protect Rahsia Kerajaan. It is part of integrity and loyalty towards the service. I think most of my colleagues are eager and motivated to respond to the clients, but we have to act wisely because our division is handling one of the most sensitive business nowadays. Scholarships is a reward. Most people think they deserved one. Who would refuse a free funded education right?
Again, what we do here is more of social obligation. In making sure that everybody gets a fair chance, we have policies and procedures which was currently being condemned and need some more revamp.
And to say that we are not being thorough in our jurisdictions, I think I will leave to the rest to see how the scholars give back to the society. This is subjective. Everybody has their own aims and ambitions.
Again, I leave it to you to think about it.
